Academics
We are dedicated to teaching a child as much as possible during each class. Our classrooms are an open and friendly setting that allow students to contribute.

All Anne Arundel County middle schools follow a 4 period day schedule.  All students take daily Math and Language Arts courses for the entire school year.  Science and Social Studies are taught daily for a semester each.  Encore classes, including Foreign Language, Music, Technology Education, Art, Physical Education and Health, and Family and Consumer Sciences, are offered on a yearly or a semester based A-B-C day rotation.  Eighth grade students may earn high school credit by taking French, Spanish, Algebra or Geometry.

We take pride in our strong academic reputation. This page allows us to explain our requirements and classes. We offer a wide range of classes, as well as several areas where students can concentrate their studies.
